Gloriosa daisies are a strain of black eyed susan whose center is brown and is surrounded by petals in shades of rust, gold, and mahogany. Gloriosa daisies are biennials or short-lived perennials, but are often grown as annuals because they bloom in their first year. If seed heads are allowed to develop they will continue to self-seed, making them appear like perennials.
