An eclectic 20-track double LP conceived as a vinyl-sequenced psychological concept album. An 80-minute journey through dream-gaze, neo-psychedelic rock, grunge textures, and sound collage.

At its core, the album explores shadow work and the movement from daylight persona into nocturnal self-confrontation. The record has been described as ‘a lost 90s college-radio obscurities compilation,’ and “a soundtrack for cult initiation,” drawing inspiration from artists like Brian Jonestown Massacre, Mazzy Star, Velvet Underground, Broadcast, Pixies, Breeders, Nirvana, Warpaint, Flaming Lips, and My Morning Jacket, while also incorporating influences from Ethiopian jazz, Sub-Saharan psych-rock, freak folk, and jangly British invasion classic rock.

B A C K G R O U N D

The title was born from a book of spells found in a haunted 1700s New England farmhouse, in a dingy back room with one naked light bulb swinging from the ceiling.

At its core the record explores Jungian shadow work; movement from daylight persona into nocturnal self-confrontation. Intended to be listened to and experienced in totality, like a curiosity shop or haunted house; whose rooms bend toward one another, until you're lost inside and afraid you may never get out. Eventually you stumble out the other end, bewildered and inspired. A journey through sound and time.

Chasing symbols through the psychological realms does something magical to the mundane. Connections appear between things that seemed disjointed before. The world comes alive in colors and shapes. Meaning fills in every space until the entire internal and external world are animated with Self. Where we start and where we end merges into a universal oneness of meaning. A mapping of the soul.
